Get answers to common questions about Underarms Waxing.
Most clients enjoy smooth underarms for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth cycles and individual hormones. Regular waxing can gradually lengthen intervals between sessions. We’ll recommend a schedule based on your hair pattern and desired maintenance frequency.
Some sensitivity is normal, especially first time, but most clients tolerate waxing well. We use pre-wax calming treatments, hot or strip wax techniques, and skilled technicians to minimize pain. Applying ice afterward and avoiding caffeine beforehand can also help reduce discomfort.
Let hair grow to about quarter-inch length (roughly two weeks of growth) for effective removal. Avoid heavy deodorants, exfoliate gently 24-48 hours before, and skip sun exposure or topical retinoids before waxing. Inform us of medications or sensitivities beforehand.
Yes in most cases. We perform consultations to assess skin type, conduct a patch test if needed, and select hypoallergenic waxes or gentle techniques. If you have severe allergies, active infections, or recent chemical treatments, we may recommend alternatives or delay the service.
Avoid applying deodorant or antiperspirant for at least 12-24 hours after waxing to prevent irritation and clogging freshly exposed follicles. Use breathable clothing, gentle cleansers, and soothing products like aloe vera if needed. If irritation persists, contact your provider.
Keep area clean and dry, avoid hot showers, saunas, and heavy exercise for 24 hours. Apply soothing aloe or fragrance-free lotion, exfoliate gently after 48 hours, and wear loose clothing. Schedule touch-ups every few weeks and contact us for persistent redness or bumps.
