Get answers to common questions about Half Arms Waxing.
Typically results last three to six weeks depending on your hair growth cycle, hormonal factors, and aftercare. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and soften hairs over time. We can advise timing for repeat appointments based on your personal growth pattern.
Most clients describe waxing as brief discomfort rather than prolonged pain. Unlike shaving or creams, waxing removes hair from the root, so you may feel a quick sting but enjoy smoother results longer. We use numbing and soothing techniques for sensitive clients.
Exfoliate gently 48 hours before to remove dead skin, avoid moisturizers on the day, and ensure hair is about 1/4 inch for effective waxing. Avoid sun exposure and retinol products 24-48 hours prior to reduce irritation risks.
If you have sensitive skin or active eczema, we recommend a consultation first. We may perform a patch test and adapt products or techniques. Waxing on active inflamed skin can worsen symptoms; scheduling around flare-ups is safer.
Your esthetician will cleanse and assess your skin, apply warm wax in sections, and remove hair quickly with strips or hard wax. The process is efficient, usually under 20 minutes, followed by soothing lotion and aftercare advice.
We recommend hair be about 1/4 inch (approximately 6 mm) long so wax can grip. If hair is too short, we may reschedule; if it's longer, we can trim briefly for comfort and better results.
