Get answers to common questions about Chest Waxing.
Trim hair only if it is longer than a quarter inch; avoid sunburn, heavy lotions, exfoliation or retinoids 48 hours prior. Clean, dry skin helps the wax adhere and reduces irritation during the service.
Sensitivity varies by individual and hair thickness; most clients describe brief discomfort rather than sharp pain. We use techniques to reduce discomfort and can suggest breath control, numbing options, or breaks to make the process easier.
Results usually last three to six weeks depending on personal hair growth cycles. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and make hairs finer, often extending smooth periods over successive appointments.
Common temporary effects include redness, mild swelling, or tiny bumps. Less common risks are ingrown hairs, irritation or rare infection. We perform consultations, patch tests, and follow strict hygiene to minimize risks.
Many clients with sensitive skin can be waxed using gentle techniques and appropriate products. We recommend a patch test, avoiding retinoids beforehand, and using calming post-care to reduce redness and sensitivity.
Avoid hot showers, saunas, heavy sweating or intense exercise for 12 to 24 hours to reduce irritation and infection risk. Use lukewarm water, gentle cleansers, and the recommended soothing products if needed.
