Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Cheeks Waxing.

Cheeks waxing typically keeps the area smooth for three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth, hormones, and aftercare. Regular appointments can lead to finer regrowth. We recommend scheduling maintenance every four to six weeks for consistent results.

When performed professionally, cheeks waxing rarely causes long-term damage. Temporary redness or slight sensitivity may occur but typically resolves within hours to a day. Proper technique, patch testing for sensitive skin, and following aftercare instructions reduce risks and protect skin health.

Avoid heavy exfoliation, retinoids, and chemical peels for several days before treatment. Allow hair to be about a quarter inch long, cleanse the area, and avoid sun exposure. Inform us of medications or skin conditions so we can adjust the service safely.

No - waxing removes hair at the root and does not change its color or thickness. Regrowth may feel coarser initially due to blunt tips, but repeated waxing often results in finer, sparser hair over time. Individual hormone factors still affect growth.

Sensitive or acne-prone skin can often be waxed with precautions: patch testing, using gentle waxes, and avoiding active acne lesions. If skin is inflamed or cystic, we may postpone or recommend alternative hair removal methods to prevent irritation or breakouts.

Keep the area clean and avoid touching for several hours. Apply a cool compress and a soothing, non-comedogenic gel if needed. Avoid hot baths, heavy makeup, saunas, and direct sun for 24–48 hours. Gentle exfoliation can begin after 48–72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs.
