Get answers to common questions about Bikini Sugaring.
Most clients enjoy smooth skin for two to four weeks depending on hair growth. With regular sugaring sessions, regrowth becomes finer and sparser, often extending time between appointments for many clients.
Sugaring is generally less painful than waxing because paste adheres to hair, not skin. Experienced technicians use gentle technique, reducing discomfort especially for sensitive bikini-line skin; topical soothing aftercare further eases irritation.
For best results, hair should be about a quarter to half an inch long, roughly 6–12 mm. This length allows the sugar paste to grip hairs for clean removal without breakage and reduces irritation.
We recommend avoiding shaving between sugaring sessions because shaving alters hair growth and can interfere with results. If necessary use trimming, but wait until hair regrows to the advised length before your next sugaring appointment.
Avoid heavy exfoliation, sun exposure, and topical retinoids for 48–72 hours before treatment. Arrive clean and free of lotions; disclose medications, pregnancy, or skin conditions so your technician can adapt the service.
Clients with open wounds, active infections, recent chemical peels, or severe sunburn should avoid sugaring until healed. Also consult your doctor if you're on isotretinoin or have bleeding disorders before booking.
